Do you work with Workspace ONE or Horizon? Then you must have heard about Omnissa ONE in Amsterdam last week. This event was not only the presentation of the latest developments, but also a glimpse of Omnissa’s future. Moreover, it provided an ideal opportunity to network with colleagues and peers.

Omnissa has had an exciting time and 23 and 24 October were important days for the organisation. During the PTAB/CTAB on Wednesday and Omnissa ONE on Thursday, Omnissa’s message was clear: move away from the VMware name and win the trust of users. And what better way to do that than by having personal contact with users and partners?

Direct feedback to Omnissa

An important moment took place the day before the main event: the PTAB and CTAB, the Partner/Customer Technical Advisory Board. This is a special meeting where a select group of partners and customers are invited to get a preview and provide direct feedback to Omnissa. From PQR, we were of course present with a delegation of our consultants. Topics covered during these sessions included changes to the updated Modern SaaS Architecture platform and new features within Workspace ONE UEM, Horizon and Intelligence. Security also remains an important topic, of course, and the recently announced partnership with CrowdStrike was highlighted. The difference between PTAB/CTAB and a large event like Omnissa ONE is that during PTAB/CTAB, feedback is actively solicited during the presentations. There is room to ask questions of Omnissa, for example how their products are perceived and used, and what features are currently missing. More importantly, what do we think Omnissa should focus on in the near future?

Our customer first

Participating in the PTAB is not only valuable for PQR as Omnissa’s strategic partner, but also crucial for our customers using Workspace ONE and Horizon. All the feedback our consultants receive from customers, whether during assignments, customer visits, or conversations, we bring to these sessions to represent our customers’ interests. This open approach makes for interactive and inspiring sessions, where valuable insights are shared. Did you miss Omnissa ONE and are still curious about what was announced?

Feel free to contact us and we will be happy to tell you more.
