Two Dutch IT Channel Awards-nominations for PQR

PQR has received two nominations for the Dutch IT Channel Awards. We have been nominated in the categories MSP of the Year and IoT/Edge Innovator of the year. The IoT nomination is one together with our customer Battolyser Systems. There are five nominees in each category. The voting period has already started. The votes of the public and the jury will together determine the result.

Dutch IT Channel Awards

2024 will see the 9th edition of the Dutch IT Channel Awards. Every year, Dutch IT Channel organises this award show for distributors, vendors, resellers and individuals from the Dutch IT world who have made a distinguished achievement. They are eligible for nomination in one of 24 categories. On 14 March 2024, the winners will be announced at the festive award ceremony at Studio21 in Hilversum. This time, the gala’s theme is: bring a little soul to the IT industry.

MSP of the Year

In this category, the judges assess how the nominated Managed Services Provider unburdens its clients with IT applications and services. The winner of this category provides comprehensive support and assistance. The winning MSP has a proven track record of collaboration and building and maintaining lasting relationships. On PQR’s nomination, “PQR was also nominated for this award in the previous three editions. For the ‘rustmakers in IT’, it’s not about the IT solutions themselves, but about the people they help with them. In recent years, the Utrecht-based service provider has steadily transformed from IT reseller to Managed Service Provider, further expanding its service portfolio in 2023 with the acquisition of workplace and data centre specialist Fondo. PQR shows itself to be a distinctly ‘green’ party, by thinking of ‘continuity’ not only in terms of its own business and the organisations of PQR’s customers, but also in terms of the planet. PQR actively promotes eco-friendly initiatives such as energy-efficient hardware and virtualisation strategies and reducing energy consumption.”

IoT/Edge Innovator of the Year

About the IoT/Edge Innovator of the Year nomination, they write: “Battolyser Systems, with the help of PQR, developed the world ‘ s first integrated battery electrolyzer system: the Battolyser. This concept addresses one of the most important challenges of our time: an affordable energy transition, where sufficient energy supply is always guaranteed. Battolyser Systems outsourced the IT part of the project to PQR, the Utrecht-based ICT service provider that, using IoT and edge solutions, made an important contribution to the technical functioning of the Battolyser. The cooperation arose from an initial demand for relatively simple IT services and gradually expanded. The Battolyser is currently running as a demo system at RWE’s Eemshaven power plant in Groningen.”
